Comparison

Wazapi vs Kommo: which one sells more on WhatsApp without locking up your cash?

Short answer: if your team supports and sells on WhatsApp in Brazil and wants to pay in reais, month to month, with no lock-in, Wazapi covers up to 5 agents for R$ 259/mo. Platform overview

What is Wazapi?

Wazapi is a customer-service, automation and sales platform for the official WhatsApp Business API (Meta Cloud API), Instagram Direct and Facebook Messenger, built for Brazilian companies. One workspace holds the team inbox, the visual flow editor, support AI, a kanban CRM and the WhatsApp Store. Data is hosted in São Paulo, and a DPA is available.

Launched in 2024, Wazapi has three plans with public pricing in reais: Starter (R$ 149), Pro (R$ 259) and Business (R$ 699). Billing is monthly, with no lock-in, no cancellation fee and no setup fee. The free trial runs 14 days with no card, on the Pro plan, and weekly releases are logged in the public changelog.

What is Kommo?

Kommo (formerly amoCRM) describes itself as an AI CRM that automates conversations, bookings and workflows. The core of the product is a kanban sales pipeline tied to a unified inbox, the Salesbot builder and an AI agent. The company lists offices in San Francisco, London and Montevideo, and in Brazil sales and onboarding lean heavily on certified partners.

There are four per-user plans: Base, Advanced, Pro and Enterprise. Kommo's Brazilian pricing page, checked in Sep 2026, lists US$ 20, US$ 30 and US$ 45 per user/mo, with Enterprise on request (the global page lists US$ 25, US$ 35 and US$ 45). There is no monthly payment: the minimum subscription period is 6 months.

Chatbot and automation

In Wazapi you build flows in a drag-and-drop visual editor: text, media, buttons, lists, data collection, conditions, tags, fields, CRM stage, template and the AI Agent block. The HTTP request block queries your own system mid-conversation, and {{vars.field}} variables carry the answer into the next messages. The business hours block supports named schedules and your company's holidays, and the simulator runs the flow in the browser before you publish.

The detail that moves conversion is how unexpected replies are handled. A customer can answer a menu with the number, with roughly matching text, or by tapping the button. If they miss, the bot re-asks, with a cap. And phrases like “talk to a human” reach an agent at any point. In practice the lead never gets stuck in a menu and never drops off before reaching a salesperson.

Kommo's Salesbot also has a visual builder and it is thorough: message, WhatsApp list, condition, pause, validation, round robin, widget and custom-code steps, plus actions such as changing the lead stage, changing the responsible user, managing tags, creating tasks and sending a webhook. Bots are unlimited, and triggers can be scheduled or behaviour-based. On the global pricing page, “no-code bots” start on the Advanced plan.

Two practical differences. In Kommo's documentation, business hours are not a block: they are an option of the Pause step (“Except for duty hours”). And the “Send webhook” action pushes data out, but bringing a response back into the flow goes through the Widget step, which requires a developed integration. If your bot needs to look up stock, an order or an invoice during the chat, that path is shorter in Wazapi.

AI in support and sales

Wazapi's built-in AI lives on the Business plan (R$ 699/mo) and starts by helping the human agent. Per-message sentiment shows the customer is upset before you reply. The co-pilot suggests an answer in the context of the thread. After the chat is closed, quality analysis produces a score, dimensions and a coaching report per agent. Transcription of inbound voice notes, in the conversation and via webhook, does not depend on the plan: it works with your own OpenAI key.

The same Business plan adds the autonomous AI Agent. It answers from a knowledge base with hybrid search (text, FAQ, files, URLs and your store catalog, which re-syncs on its own), understands images the customer sends, and performs actions from an allowlist: apply a tag, fill a field, move a CRM stage. It batches bursts of messages before replying, hands off to a human with context, and stops by itself when someone on the team takes over.

Kommo includes AI on every plan: text rewriting, conversation summaries, reply suggestions and task suggestions, plus Copilot with an analyst mode for questions about your sales data. The AI agent is available from Advanced (3 agents; 50 on Pro), takes up to 100 knowledge sources and, per the docs, only replies to incoming messages. Voice-note handling by the agent is exclusive to the Pro plan. Per-message sentiment and per-agent quality analysis do not appear in the public documentation we reviewed.

The cost model is the biggest gap. Kommo's AI runs on credits: 750, 1,250 or 2,250 per user/mo, with no rollover. Kommo itself states roughly 15 credits per agent reply, so about 150 replies per user/mo on Pro. When credits run out the agent stops replying until renewal, and extra packages start at US$ 29/mo. In Wazapi, usage runs on your own OpenAI key (BYOK), with no mark-up and a monthly budget cap that blocks or alerts. The honest flip side: Kommo works without you opening an OpenAI account, and its AI already comes with the US$ 20 per user plan; in Wazapi your own key is required and built-in AI needs Business. For 5 people that is R$ 699/mo against 5 × US$ 30 = US$ 150/mo on Kommo Advanced: with the dollar below R$ 4.66 (699 ÷ 150), Kommo is cheaper if AI is what you want. At 10 people the math flips: 10 × US$ 30 = US$ 300/mo against the same R$ 699.

Sales, CRM and conversion

This is Kommo's home turf. The pipeline is the product: leads, tasks, goals, win-loss reporting, up to 50 pipelines on Base and Advanced and 100 on Pro, with stage-triggered automation. If you run a sales team with a long, multi-stage cycle, it is a deeper CRM than Wazapi's. Mind the per-seat caps: 2,500 active leads on Base, 5,000 on Advanced and 10,000 on Pro.

Wazapi's kanban CRM is leaner and welded to the inbox: pipelines per group, stages, opportunities and metrics, with unlimited contacts. The differentiator is the closing policy: you can require a CRM stage when a conversation is closed, so no chat ends without a recorded outcome. Marketing attribution stores UTM, gclid, fbclid and Click-to-WhatsApp ad data on the contact, the conversation and the order. You know which campaign produced the sale, not just the lead.

If you sell products, Wazapi's WhatsApp Store closes the loop: your own public storefront, a catalog with variants and stock, shipping, and a checkout that finishes on WhatsApp. The order becomes a card inside the conversation, creates the CRM opportunity and triggers the post-purchase flow, the payment reminder and status notices. Kommo has Lists (catalogs linked to a lead), while storefront, payments and invoicing come through integrations such as Shopify, Nuvemshop, Mercado Pago and Stripe.

Team management

In Wazapi, round-robin routing looks at real availability: the agent's status plus presence. Someone who closed the tab gets no new conversations, so customers don't wait on a person who left for lunch. If an agent goes quiet, the conversation is transferred automatically. Groups can be private, access profiles are per module, and each person has a performance page with first response (mean and median), resolution time, closing rate, volume and, on Business, the AI quality score.

Kommo has a solid permission model on every plan: custom roles and four access levels (none, only mine, my team's, everything), with field-level restrictions on Pro and Enterprise. Lead distribution is a Salesbot step, Round Robin, with 2 to 100 options. The docs warn that the sequence resets after 30 days of inactivity or whenever you edit the options, and they describe no agent-presence rule. Reporting covers activity by user, goals, calls and, on Pro, ROI.

Pricing shapes team management too. In Kommo every new teammate is another seat, paid for at least 6 months. In Wazapi agents come with the plan: 2 on Starter, 5 on Pro and 10 or more on Business.

Costs, reporting and channel health

Neither platform marks up Meta's message fees. Kommo states it charges no third-party fees and that Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account, where you add the payment method. In Wazapi the cost is passed through with no mark-up and shown in the dashboard by category (marketing, utility, authentication and service) before the invoice arrives. You fix an expensive campaign mid-month, not after.

Wazapi also looks after the number. The channel health monitor shows quality, tier and restrictions along with the cause and the fix Meta recommends. The send guard applies automatic opt-out (the PARAR/VOLTAR keywords), a per-contact marketing frequency cap, deduplication and send pacing, which lowers the risk of a restriction. Coexistence lets you keep the same number on the phone app and on the official API. Kommo has a WhatsApp Business analytics report for templates; we did not find an equivalent to the send guard in its public docs, so it is worth asking their team.

On predictability: Wazapi bills in reais, month by month. Kommo bills per user in US dollars, with 6, 9, 12 or 24 months paid upfront (instalments are available), so the amount in reais moves with the exchange rate on the day you buy. See the full breakdown on the pricing page and in the table below.

Note: Kommo prices checked in Sep 2026 at kommo.com/br/precos/compare-planos (regional pricing for Brazil, in US dollars; the global page lists US$ 25, US$ 35 and US$ 45). Kommo says it bills in USD or BRL but publishes no price list in reais, so we did not convert. In Wazapi, built-in AI and the AI Agent are on Business, and AI usage is paid separately on your OpenAI account; in Kommo, extra AI credit packages start at US$ 29/mo. Break-even for 5 people with AI: R$ 699 ÷ US$ 150 = R$ 4.66 per dollar against Advanced and R$ 699 ÷ US$ 100 = R$ 6.99 per dollar against Base; with the exchange rate below that, Kommo is cheaper. Support and migration

Wazapi offers chat support on every plan, with priority support on Business, in Portuguese. Kommo supports customers through in-account chat, WhatsApp, Messenger and email, also in Portuguese, with a team spread across several countries. In Brazil, configuration, training and day-to-day fixes usually sit with the certified partner that sold the account, and Kommo's partner programme expects partners to provide basic support to their own customers. Public reviews show both sides: on Software Advice Kommo holds 4.5/5 across 263 reviews, while critical reviews there and on Trustpilot mention slow support, WhatsApp sync issues and difficulty cancelling.

To move from Kommo to Wazapi, export your contacts and import them by CSV with custom fields. Approved templates can be transferred, and the team helps with number configuration. Since both run on the official Cloud API, the number stays the same. Salesbots have to be rebuilt in the flow editor, and the 14-day trial is there to validate that before you pay.

Who is Wazapi for?

  • Brazilian SMBs that live on WhatsApp and want costs in reais, monthly, with no lock-in
  • Teams of 3 to 10 agents: agents come with the plan instead of a licence per person
  • Anyone selling products on WhatsApp: store, order card in the chat, payment reminder and campaign attribution
  • Managers who track quality: on Business, real-time sentiment, post-chat analysis and per-agent coaching
  • Technical teams that want a REST API with OpenAPI, a Node SDK, webhooks and an MCP server with OAuth

Who is Kommo for?

  • Sales teams with a long pipeline that need a deeper sales CRM (goals, tasks, win-loss)
  • Teams serving customers on TikTok, Telegram, SMS, email or web chat, channels Wazapi doesn't have
  • Anyone who wants AI without opening an OpenAI account, or with a small team: credits come with every plan from US$ 20 per user, while Wazapi only has built-in AI on Business (R$ 699/mo)
  • Anyone who needs a native mobile app or ready-made integrations (RD Station, Mercado Pago, Nuvemshop, Shopify)
  • Anyone who prefers to roll out with a consultancy: the certified partner network in Brazil is wide

Verdict

Kommo is a sales CRM that talks. Wazapi is a WhatsApp support and sales platform that has a CRM. If your bottleneck is running a complex sales pipeline across many channels, Kommo delivers more, and its high public review score shows plenty of customers are happy with it.

If your bottleneck is replying fast, not losing leads in the queue, closing orders inside the chat and knowing what it all costs, Wazapi is the more direct choice. A team of 5 pays R$ 259/mo with no contract, with the official API, CRM, Store and MCP, versus 5 USD seats paid for at least 6 months. If AI is what you are after, the math changes: in Wazapi it sits on Business, at R$ 699/mo with 10 or more agents, and for a small team Kommo tends to be cheaper (5 × US$ 30 = US$ 150/mo). From around 10 agents Business wins again (10 × US$ 30 = US$ 300/mo), and the AI doesn't stop for lack of credits: spend runs on your key, under a cap you set.

Wazapi's limits are real: no native app, no Telegram, email or SMS, and the company dates from 2024. If none of that is a requirement for you, run the 14-day free trial on your own number and compare it against your real operation.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wazapi better than Kommo?

It depends on the problem. For WhatsApp support and sales in Brazil, Wazapi tends to be the better fit: R$ 259/mo with 5 agents included, no lock-in, with the official API, CRM and a store (support AI is on Business, R$ 699/mo). Kommo is better as a multichannel sales CRM, with TikTok, Telegram, SMS and email, charging US$ 20 to US$ 45 per user/mo on a 6-month minimum.

What is the best alternative to Kommo?

For Brazilian companies that use Kommo mostly for WhatsApp, Wazapi is an alternative priced in reais (R$ 149 to R$ 699/mo), billed monthly, with agents included in the plan. It keeps the official Meta API, the kanban pipeline and the visual chatbot, and adds a store with orders and, on Business, AI quality analysis. If you depend on Telegram, email or a mobile app, Kommo remains the better fit.

How much does Kommo cost compared with Wazapi?

In Sep 2026, Kommo's Brazilian page lists US$ 20 (Base), US$ 30 (Advanced) and US$ 45 (Pro) per user/mo, with a 6-month minimum subscription. A team of 5 on Advanced pays 5 × US$ 30 = US$ 150/mo, or US$ 900 for the minimum term, and the amount in reais varies with the exchange rate. Wazapi Pro costs R$ 259/mo with 5 agents included and no lock-in. If AI is the requirement, compare with Business (R$ 699/mo, 10+ agents): for 5 people, Kommo is cheaper with the dollar below R$ 4.66 (699 ÷ 150).

Can I migrate from Kommo to Wazapi?

Yes. Export your contacts from Kommo and import them into Wazapi by CSV, custom fields included. Because both use the official Meta Cloud API, you can keep the number and the approved templates. Bots have to be rebuilt in the flow editor, and the 14-day free trial lets you validate everything before paying.

Does Kommo use the official WhatsApp API?

Yes. Kommo's native “WhatsApp Business” integration is built on Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, and Kommo describes itself as a Meta Tech Partner. The older QR Code connection (WhatsApp Lite) was discontinued in the native integration and now exists only through third-party providers. In Wazapi, the official API starts on the Pro plan, and Starter connects by QR Code.

Which has the better AI: Wazapi or Kommo?

Kommo includes AI credits on every plan (750 to 2,250 per user/mo) and an AI agent from Advanced; each agent reply uses about 15 credits, and the agent stops when credits run out. In Wazapi, per-message sentiment, the co-pilot, quality analysis and the autonomous agent are on the Business plan (R$ 699/mo); audio transcription works on any plan with your own OpenAI key. Usage runs on that key with no mark-up and a monthly cap, but you do need it. For a small team, Kommo AI is the cheaper one.
