Meta starts charging for replies inside the 24h window on October 1

Replying to a customer within 24h stops being free on the official WhatsApp API. Wazapi keeps passing Meta's fee through with no markup.

  • Billing From Oct 1, 2026 Meta charges every service message, meaning replies sent inside the 24h window, which are free today. The rate is equivalent to utility. Wazapi keeps passing the fee through with no markup.
  • Billing Account owners see a notice at the top of the dashboard until mid-October, with a shortcut to Meta spend by category.
  • Platform Pricing page, FAQ and blog updated: Meta has billed per delivered message since July 2025, no longer per conversation.
